Following his degree in New Zealand, Phillip worked in smaller boutique practices in Wellington, San Francisco and London, drawn to the hands-on experience of design and delivery of projects. Frustrated by seeing a lot of conflict in the architectural industry, he set up the practice in 2009 to focus on a more collaborative approach to projects.
Yosuke was born in Tokyo, Japan and grew up in London, Milan and Tokyo. Influenced by the cultures and arts of Europe and Japan, he aspired to take up Architecture & Design as a career during his teenage years. He believes that design constraints are not limitations but seeds of creativity.
Yosuke is a member of the International House of Japan.
Andrew joined HONE in 2018 after 20 years of working for design led, award winning London practices. He has a wealth of experience designing and delivering projects across multiple sectors, including residential, education, community and mixed-use. He is also a Part 3 professional examiner at London Metropolitan University.
Bethany joined HONE in 2019. Bethany is passionate about understanding how people experience space and using her knowledge of human centric design to create places that people thrive in. She is currently studying for a degree in Environmental Psychology and is a graduate of UCL and the Architectural Association.
Originally a musician from Osaka, Japan, Mika trained as an interior designer in London and has designed restaurants, bars and cinemas across the UK. Her interest is in how interior spaces enrich day-to-day experiences, encouraging people to feel inspired, invigorated and content.
Originally from Lithuania, Eglė completed her postgraduate education in Helsinki, Finland. She brings her vast experience of different cities, cultures and environments to instruct her work.
She has a forward thinking outlook to design with an acute eye for detail and composition, with sensitivity for the environment.
Camille was born in Manila and studied at Mapua Institute of Technology, Manila and Kingston University. She was a Member of RIBA Young People’s Forum and is passionate about urban design, sustainability and regeneration. In her spare time, she enjoys film and theatre.
Rachel joined HONE in 2015 and takes care of the day to day running of the studio.
In her spare time, Rachel works as a complementary therapist, fitness instructor and film extra.
